	{id:"something_old",title:"Something old",subtitle:"Enterprise Oil - 1998 - 2002!",info:"Enterprise Oil plc. was one of the world's leading oil exploration and production companies and was listed on the London and New York stock exchanges. TPG worked with Enterprise Oil from 1998 until the company was acquired by Shell for £4.3billion in 2002 and subsequently delisted.</p><p><h5>Challenge</h5></p><p>As one of the last independent Oil exploration companies in a marketplace dominated by the global oil giants, Enterprise Oil needed a loud, clear voice to get heard. Tom managed the project for the agency View, to assist it to provide corporate information in a modern, interesting and easy-to-use fashion, projecting the company's values and personality through the corporate website. Successful Investor Relations was the key component - the aim was to develop and establish the best, most user-friendly and informative investor site in the industry.</p><p><h5>Solution</h5></p><p>Tom implemented a full redesign of the site, redeveloping function, navigation, and content. Tightening and colour-coding the sections, implementing a simple clean icon library and incorporating useful dropdown menus and search usability, greatly enhanced the site's functionality. </p><p>An engaging photographic header was given to each section - which highlighted a different aspect of the new outlook. The site was built using a bespoke publishing and administration system, allowing content to be managed by Enterprise Oil administrators. </p><p>Results</p><p>The awards speak for themselves. The site we created won three major awards for the functionality it delivered for private investors: the 2000 Proshare 'Best Website for the Private Investor in a Company with a market capitalisation above £250 million' award; 2001's Investor Relations Society award for Best Website for a FTSE250 Company (sponsored by eFinancial News); and Top UK Website in the 2002 Financial Times/Hallvarsson and Halvarson survey of European corporate websites.
